Perfume 101
Wear it right. Leave a lasting impression.
A great perfume deserves to be worn well. These small habits help your scent last longer and smell the way it was designed to.
01
Don't rub your wrists
Rubbing creates friction and heat. That breaks down the delicate top notes and makes the scent evaporate faster. It also mixes the perfume with your skin's oils before it has time to open. Spray, then let it dry on its own.
02
Apply to your pulse points
Wrists, neck, behind the ears and the inner elbows are warmer than the rest of your skin. That warmth lifts the scent gently through the day.
03
Moisturise first
Fragrance holds better on hydrated skin. Apply an unscented lotion, then spray.
04
Know your concentrations
- Eau de Parfum: about 15–20% perfume oil. The everyday choice, made to last for hours.
- Parfum Concentré (like Legacy): oil-based and richer. It sits closer to the skin and develops with your body's warmth.
05
Make it last in UAE heat
- Keep bottles away from sunlight and heat, and never leave them in the car.
- Mist a scarf or jacket for a longer trail. Avoid silk and white fabric, especially with oil-based scents.
- Carry your bottle to refresh your scent in the evening.
